Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad will visit Yemen on Wednesday for talks with President Ali Abdullah Saleh on boosting bilateral relations, reported the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Mahathir will be accompanied by a number of government officials, including foreign and transport ministers, and 31 corporate leaders representing the private sector, said SPA.

Yemeni Foreign Minister Sayed Hamid Albar said Malaysia wanted to improve business ties with Yemen, “as bilateral trade is minimal.”

“We hope to forge close cooperation with Yemen,” he told reporters – Albawaba.com
