Malaysia’s Information Minister Tan Sri Mohammed Khalil Yaacob, arrived in Damascus for an official visit to the country, for talks with his Syrian counterpart Adnan Omran on future bilateral cooperation in the media field.
He told reporters that his talks with the Syrian Minister would focus on devising a mechanism for bilateral cooperation in the media arena and on establishing joint news agencies for exchange of news and addressing the Western media campaign against Arabs and Moslems, the Kuwait News Agency reported Tuesday.
Omran, for his part, highlighted the significance of the Malaysian Minister's current visit, adding that talks would deal with media relations, especially modern technologies employed in this sphere. (Albawaba.com)
