ALBAWABA - Explosions in Haifa, Carmel, and Caesarea by Hezbollah on Saturday morning injured and damaged Israelis. The assault featured Lebanon-launched missiles and drones.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported 55 missile launches targeting Haifa Bay and northern Galilee. Despite the Israeli missile defense system intercepting several missiles, some hit, causing deaths and property damage.

Two were hurt in Kiryat Ata, northeast of Haifa, while others had panic attacks, according to Israeli emergency services. Further casualties were reported when a missile struck a building in Shlomi, northern Israel.

Israeli media reported widespread damage. A missile struck a vehicle near Kiryat Ata, igniting it. Emergency personnel hurried to treat the victims.

Israeli air defenses failed to prevent a drone invasion that exploded a building near Caesarea. Roads were closed as Israeli officials secured the spot. There were also restrictions on media access to the accident scene.

According to Walla, military helicopters and fighter planes were swiftly sent over Caesarea after the drone incident. Security was increased in the beachfront city, home to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other high-profile figures. Netanyahu's staff wouldn't reveal his assault location.

At least 20 Galilee and adjacent communities sounded sirens to warn people of missiles, according to sources. There was fear in Haifa Bay and other northern areas after explosions.

Hezbollah claimed that its drones and missiles attacked military and civilian targets, including an air defense facility near Hadera and northern Israel. One of the greatest escalations in recent years was the terrorist group's rocket attacks on Haifa and Safed.

Israeli jets bombed Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon in retaliation. Israeli authorities vowed to increase military operations against Hezbollah as the Israel-Lebanon border remained turbulent.
