ALBAWABA - French President Emmanuel Macron said that France will have a special role alongside the Palestinian Authority in governing Gaza.
France's President Emmanuel Macron made the announcement while speaking to the press upon his arrival in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, to attend the Gaza Summit on October 13, 2025.
Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas will also join the peace summit in Egypt on Monday, Macron also revealed.
An Egyptian presidential spokesman said Saturday that Egypt will host an international summit in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday to finalize an agreement aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman added in a statement that the summit will be attended by more than 20 leaders, including US President Donald Trump.
