Ma’an Development Company (MDC) to Participate in Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2009
Showcasing a Regional Model for Sustainable Investment
Ma’an Development Company (MDC), the master developer in charge of promoting and managing Ma’an Development Area (MDA) in the South of Jordan, has unveiled its plans to participate in Cityscape Abu Dhabi which will take place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from the 19th to the 22nd of April. MDC will be participating in the event for the first time this year under the umbrella of the Development Zones Commission and in partnership with King Hussein Bin Talal Development Area and Irbid Development Area.
Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2009, the region’s foremost international property investment and development event, will bring together international and regional investors, real estate developers, government authorities and other key stakeholders to discuss current market challenges and develop cutting edge strategies to tackle the new market dynamics.
MDC will be highlighting the exceptional range of incentives it offers investors in MDA while showcasing the project’s uniquely synergetic model composed of four complementary clusters: Industrial Park, Residential Community, Skill Development Center, and Hajj Oasis.
Mohammed Salem Turk, CEO of Ma’an Development Company stated: “Cityscape will be a perfect opportunity for us to network with investors, real estate developers and experts who can capitalize on MDA’s valued and sustainable opportunity for investment”.
Mr. Turk added, “Our participation in one of the region’s most prominent real estate exhibitions will allow us to showcase Jordan’s unique attributes that make it an ideal environment for investment, especially in the current financial climate where stability is what investors seek the most. In fact, concrete and productive projects of MDA’s caliber ensure just such stability, away from the substantial uncertainties and risks of speculative-based investments; as such projects are rooted in the real economy and have numerous tangible social and economic benefits”.
MDA enjoys a special legislative, administrative, and financial environment that is highly favorable to investors. As per the Development Areas Law 2008, MDC has instituted a series of incentives that render MDA a premium destination for investors and developers. Thus far, a total of 13 investors have collaborated with MDC, raising the total value of investment projects to JD 220 million.
Consisting of four complementary clusters including a Residential Community, an Industrial Park, a Hajj Oasis, and a Skill Development Center, the Ma’an Development Area (MDA) is set to become a regional hub for industrial activity and a centre of excellence for vocational training, as well as a religious landmark for pilgrims on their way to the Holy cities, offering them the ideal environment for their rest, relaxation and prayer. MDA will also be home to a thriving and self-sustained city providing its residents and visitors with a quality living and working environment to fulfill their potential.
