Luminus Group and the Bell Educational Trust sign regional partnership agreement and announce the establishment of Bell Amman Language Centre


Luminus Group, an Amman based private shareholding company with investments in education, trading and hospitality across the MENA region and owner of SAE Amman, Al Quds College and Al Quds Vocational Training and Career Development Centre (VTCDC), signed a Partnership Agreement today with the Bell Educational Trust ("Bell"), a leading global English language provider headquartered in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The partnership agreement grants Luminus Group the rights to the Bell Franchise in Jordan and across several markets in the Middle East. The first franchise will be Bell Amman Language Centre targeted to open in October 2008.

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Tayseer Al Noaimi, Minister of Education the agreement was signed at a ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Amman attended by Mr. David Pottinger, Global CEO, Bell and Mr. Ibrahim Safadi, CEO, Luminus Group and witnessed by H.E. Mr. James Watt, British Ambassador to Jordan, and H.E. Akel Biltaji, Senator.
 

Driven by the need for the provision of quality English Language services, Bell Amman Language Centre will open in October 2008, and will offer high quality English language training for personal development, educational consultancy, English for special purposes, English for examinations, business English, teacher training and vacation courses for children. Bell's programs will be targeted at adults, corporates, young learners, and teachers of English. Furthermore, the Bell Amman Language Centre will also provide English language programs to the students of its sister companies Al Quds College and SAE Amman.

James Watt, British Ambassador to Jordan, signified the bilateral agreements joining Jordan and the United Kingdom and highlighted the importance of intercultural collaboration stating, "Bell, is one of Britain's finest institutes in the field of English teaching worldwide, hence the establishment of Bell Amman is surely a paramount milestone in the history of Jordan's education sector."
