Lombard Odier has expanded its team of private bankers focused on Middle Eastern clients with the appointments of Ziad Al Toura and Matthew Garnham.  Both will be based in London.
Ziad and Matthew join Lombard Odier from Credit Suisse’s private banking division, where they spent four years working together on the Middle East desk.
Arnaud Leclercq, Head of New Markets at Lombard Odier, said: “Our Middle Eastern clients are typically ultra high net worth individuals with a global outlook; many have interests in the UK. Setting up a dedicated Middle East team in London means that we will be able to offer these internationally-minded clients seamless advice and portfolio management across our London, Geneva and Dubai offices”.
Sally Tennant, Chief Executive of Lombard Odier in London, said: “We’re adding to our team of highly capable private bankers in London.  Ziad and Matthew have excellent track records and the strong skillsets that our Middle East clients demand.”
Ziad has more than twenty years’ experience in advising Middle Eastern clients. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2004, he led private banking teams at Ahli United Bank Plc in London and Gulf Bank in Kuwait City. He was previously Head of Retail Banking at the National Bank of Kuwait in London, where he managed portfolios for high net worth clients.
Matthew has seven years’ experience as a financial advisor, most recently at Credit Suisse where he advised Middle Eastern institutions and ultra high net worth individuals. He previously worked with high net worth clients at IFG Financial Services.
