A group of Libyan students in Turkey has broken into their own embassy in Ankara in a row over scholarships.
Embassy authorities said that around 150 students broke the gate to the compound on Monday and entered the yard demanding a meeting with ambassador Abdurrezak Muhtar.
Security forces arrived at the scene while a representative group of students met with the ambassador.
The remaining students continue to occupy the embassy grounds.
Munir Abdusselam, a Libyan studying in Ankara, said that the students had not received November and December scholarships.
Fellow student Muhammed Akkad added that they will not leave the embassy until they receive their scholarship payments.
The embassy has yet to issue a statement.
Libya has been dogged by political instability since the 2011 overthrow and death of longstanding ruler Muammar Gaddafi.
