Libyan leader Col. Gadhafi phoned President Zein al Abaden Ben Ali of Tunisia to congratulate him on the confidence the Tunisian people expressed in him, JANA reported.
The Libyan President confirmed that this re-selection promotes the progress of the Arab Maghreb Union.
Ben Ali, 68, had been re-elected for a fourth tenure of five years in elections held earlier this week. (Albawaba.com)
