Libyan president Moamer Kadhafi and Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe reviewed issues affecting Africa in a meeting in Tripoli Sunday, the state JANA news agency reported.

The two leaders' discussions included means to support the African Union, the pan-African body, which Kadhafi helped found in a bid to elevate the continent's role on the world stage, JANA said.

Mugabe, a frequent visitor to Tripoli, last visited the Libyan capital in April.

Mugabe's delegation included Finance Minister Herbert Murerwa, Energy Minister Amos Midzi and the chief of the Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe, Gideon Gono. (Albawaba.com)
