A fire broke out Tuesday in an ethylene tank at Ras al-Unuf oil complex east of Tripoli, without causing casualties, the official news agency JANA reported.
"All necessary measures have been taken to control the fire," JANA said, quoting the oil ministry, adding that an operation room had been set up and an investigation launched.
Ras al-Unuf houses Libya's main oil installations as well as those of several foreign companies.
Libya is an OPEC producer with a quota of 1.16 million barrels a day. (Albawaba.com)
