ALBAWABA - In an official statement, the Libyan House of Representatives condemned the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza. The statement also demanded the departure of all ambassadors of the countries supporting Israel.

The statement came as a declaration of solidarity and support to the people of Gaza in times when 2.2 million people from what is accounted for being "the world's largest open-air prison" are being ethnically cleansed from their homes and have been under a siege for the past 16 years.

The statement also confirmed the right to self-determination and self-defense against the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

According to the latest Ministry of Health reports from Gaza, the death toll has risen to 6,055, with more than half being children and women. Also, the injury toll has reached 15,143 people varying between extremely severe and minor injuries.

The UNRWA announced that 600,000 people have taken refuge in about 150 UN facilities across the besieged strip since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Hamas operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
