Lebanese police Wednesday arrested a Syrian man suspected of killing his infant daughter in the coastal town of Jbeil and burying her in a nearby city, a security source told The Daily Star.
The source identified the suspect as Ahmed Kadij. He said the man's year-and-a-half-old daughter was discovered buried in Batroun, just north of Jbeil.
He did not say when the crime took place and would not speculate over the motive of the killing until investigations are complete.
The state-run National News Agency reported that the infant was paralyzed.
