Head of the Free Patriotic Movement MP Gebran Bassil tested positive for coronavirus, a statement from his media office said Sunday.
Bassil tested positive Saturday night and is currently in isolation, the statement said, adding that his infection is mild and he is in good health.
The statement aimed to inform all those who had come into contact with Bassil of his infection.
The MP and former foreign minister will continue his work virtually and urged everyone to take the virus seriously and adhere to preventive measures.
