Lebanon is currently hosting its annual Al-Bustan Festival, which was opened this week with an evening of Vivaldi and Mozart featuring famous Italian musicians as well as the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra, whose works were inaugurated during last year’s festival.
The five-week festival this year features singers and musicians from Albania, Kazakhstan, Russia, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Italy, France, Germany and several other European countries.
The festival also features a number of theatrical performances, including a new production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet—Albawaba.com
