Four Lebanese soldiers were killed and several others were injured Monday when their patrol came under fire in east Lebanon's district of Riyaq. According to press reports, the army patrol was hit by an RPG on Riyaq-Timnin al-Tahta road in in the Zahle region, east Lebanon. The wounded soldiers were taken to Riyaq hospital for treatment.
Local media said gunfire was heard over Sharawneh neighborhood in Baalbek following the ambush.
