Lebanon has again complained to the United Nations over continued Israeli air force violations of Lebanese airspace, the national news agency ANI said Monday.
"Lebanon has filed a complaint against Israel to the United Nations, after repeated Israeli flights over Lebanese skies and repeated violations by breaking the sound barrier," ANI said.
Israeli warplanes last broke the sound barrier over Beirut and cities in southern Lebanon and the eastern Beqaa Valley on Saturday.
Israel had almost completely ended its flights over Lebanon after its May troop pullout from occupied southern Lebanon, but has intensified them after the Lebanese militant movement Hizbollah captured three Israeli soldiers October 7 in a disputed border region to secure a prisoners swap.
Since then, Lebanon has repeatedly complained to the UN.
Israel violated Lebanese airspace 123 times in the one month after the soldiers were snatched, according to UN figures -- BEIRUT (AFP)
