The Lebanese army Wednesday arrested two men linked to key ISIS commander Ahmad Mikati, a security source said.
The detainees were identified as Syrian national Imad Faris and Lebanese national Walid Ghazi.
The source told The Daily Star the two men were arrested in Bqaa Sifrin in the northern district of Dinnieh.
The Lebanese army arrested Mikati last October in a raid on his Dinnieh apartment, dubbing him a “terrorist.”
Lebanon's military prosecutor has charged Mikati along with 17 other individuals with attempting to establish an Islamic emirate in north Lebanon and killing army soldiers.
