The Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade declared Tuesday that wheat sent by the United States as a donation to Lebanon was of good quality and suitable for use, the Daily Star reported Wednesday.
The ministry added "it was responding to reports questioning the quality of the wheat.”
The wheat is part of seven shipments to be sold under Mercy Corps International, said the daily, adding that all proceeds are earmarked for development projects in the south and the Bekaa Valley -- Albawaba.com
