A Lebanese army reconnaissance plane crashed overnight into the plains of the Bekaa Valley, a Lebanese army statement said Wednesday. No casualties were reported.
The drone hit power lines before it landed into the plains of Iaat at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the army.
The statement, which mentioned no casualties, attributed the crash to a technical malfunction.
State-run National News Agency said Lebanese army soldiers swiftly arrived at the scene and began removing the plane parts.
