A Lebanese criminal court sentenced Wednesday two Indian brothers to death for the murder of one of their compatriots, reported the Daily Star newspaper.
Satana Rajamalia Allam, 28, and his brother Mogoli, 31, were found guilty of killing Malia Allam with an iron water pipe, said the paper.
The three men shared a house in Zabougha.
Mogoli, who accused his wife of adultery with Malia Allam while the latter was in India, fled to his country about 20 days after the murder while his accomplice, Satana, stayed in Lebanon.
The court also sentenced Sri Lankan Susanti Costa Niroza, 25, to a one-month jail term for illegally residing in Lebanon.
Niroza was sleeping in the trio’s house on the night of the murder, which she witnessed.
However, she told the court that she did not see where the victim’s body was dumped, the paper added -- Albawaba.com
