Iraqi resistance fighters Saturday stormed into a police station and a government building and freed prisoners in the town of Fallujah west of Baghdad. During the raids, firefights erupted during which at least 21 people were killed and about 30 others wounded, police said.

The gunmen, riding in three cars, opened fire on the buildings with automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades, police officer Essam Yaseen said, according to The AP.

Hospital sources said at least 18 police and civilians were killed, along with two attackers. Most of the wounded were policemen and two wounded attackers were arrested. (Albawaba.com)
