At least eight people died and 10 were hurt on Thursday in a blast inside the offices of a Sunni political party in the city of Baquba, north-east of Baghdad, AFP reported. According to police sources, a bomb was planted inside the office of Kitab Sultan, the Reform and Development party.
Also Thursday, at least seven people died and 32 were injured in a suicide bombing targeting policemen in Al-Qaem near the Iraq-Syria border, medical sources reported. Two children were among the victims, and four houses also collapsed after the attack.
