At least 13 people were killed and 35 hurt when a female suicide bomber blew herself up outside a court building north of Baghdad on Sunday, Iraqi police said. According to Reuters, they said the attack took place in Baquba, capital of Diyala province.
The street was crowded at the time, police said.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi military crackdown on outlaws in Amarah, south of Baghdad, entered its forth day on Sunday with no sign of the clashes. An Iraqi military official said the military operation was going ahead without bloodshed.
The defense ministry spokesman, major general Mohammed Al-Iskari said that shops are open and life has returned to normal, adding that they have not opened fire on anyone.
It was the fourth operation launched by the government against outlaws in recent months.
