Le Méridien Al Aqah’s popularity with international travelers was recognized on 5 May at an award ceremony by Expedia®, marking the resort’s inclusion in this
year’s Expedia Insiders’ Select™ list. The list formally recognizes individual
hotels worldwide that consistently deliver excellent service, a great overall
experience and a notable value. The full list represents only a small
percentage of the world’s top hotels from the more than 110,000 hotel properties
offered on Expedia®.
Expedia® travelers ranked Le Méridien Al Aqah among the world’s best hotels on
the 2010 Expedia Insiders’ Select™, which represents an elite group of hotels.
Le Méridien Al Aqah’s general manager, Patrick Antaki, received the award on
behalf of the resort at the ceremony, which took place at the Ibis World Trade
Centre Dubai hotel
“Since the resort opened in 2002, we have prided ourselves on providing
outstanding service and facilities to our guests, who visit us from all over the
globe. Their satisfaction is our greatest reward, however we are pleased that
our efforts have been acknowledged by Expedia® travelers and look forward to
extending our high level of service to even more guests,” said Antaki.
The award adds to the industry accolades Le Méridien Al Aqah has received,
including the “L’TUR Palm Tree” in 2009 for the best luxury hotel, in the long-
haul category; the gold award in the ‘Best Leisure Hotel’ category, and the
silver award in the ‘Best Price Value Hotel’ category at the MENA Travel Awards
2008; Holiday Check Award, 2007; the Middle East Leading Beach Resort by World
Travel Awards, the Nickermann Primo and the TUI HOLLY all awarded in 2006.
