Larijani was speaking at a joint press conference with the Islamic resistance movement Hamas' Political Bureau head, Khaled Mesha'al. "Iran regards Hamas as the real representative of the Palestinian people," he said, according to IRNA.
Larijani added that in his talks with Hamas, the sides discussed the new situation created for Palestine.
Mesha'al, for his part, said Hamas appreciates Iran's support for the Palestinian people, its ideals and government, and praised Iran's support for Hamas in various difficult situations.
