According to an official statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Larbi Belkheir was appointed as the new ambassador of Algeria in Morocco. The official statement said, "The Moroccan government notified the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that King Mohammed VI gave his approval to the appointment of Larbi Belkheir in the capacity of ambassador of the Algerian Republic in the Kingdom of Morocco". Liberte Algeria reports that for this position Belkheir left his chair as the head of the Algerian cabinet.
