Laila Suhail was awarded the Government Excellence Award by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai for gathering high sponsorship amount in DSF 2001. She is also accredited with acceding highest targeted sponsorship revenues in 2005 and in catapulting the DSF/DSS brands to a higher level.

This dynamic DSF Director is involved in charting the overall strategy for the DSF Office while also ensuring effective communication with sponsors/private sector during DSF and DSS. As Chief Strategy Officer, before taking up the role of CEO, she managed the marketing, communication, corporate alliance and the Media and PR Departments with 14 full-time employees.

With an excellent academic record and accredited professional training and her over 12 years association with the annual shopping and summer events, Laila Suhail has initiated projects and events ideas throughout the years for both DSF and DSS and achieved the set targets in turning them into major destinations besides spearheading the Modhesh brand.

To her credit goes the management of the main DSF awards including the Ideal Arab Mother and Family Awards, Journalism and Innovation Awards and also the handling of the Ahlan Dubai call centre and mydsf.ae, the official DSF and DSS website. She is responsible for the setting up of an indigenous media center in the DSF Office, thus reaching out not just to the residents but also to regional and international visitors through a well-planned media campaign.

Her great achievements and hard work have granted her unequalled access to the dynamic retail sector, which was evident when she was appointed as a Facilitator, Retail Sector participation in the “Dubai Cares” campaign that ended with being the most successful charity campaign in the history of the region.
