L’Officiel Arab Woman of the Year Abu Dhabi - Results Announced

The winners of the first L’Officiel Arab Woman of the Year Awards in Abu Dhabi were announced at a glittering ceremony attended by over 450 females at the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club.
The awards were to celebrate and recognise the achievements of inspirational Arab women from the region in fields including business, the arts, charity and fashion.  Winners included Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director, Fatima Al Jaber; talented young ballerina, Alia Al Neyadi and MBC presenter, Joëlle Mardinian.

The winners were selected by a panel of expert women led by L’Officiel Editor, Mirvat Ghanem. 

The ultimate award for the L’Officiel Most Inspirational Arab Woman of the Year Abu Dhabi was presented to Hoda Ibrahim Al Khamis Kanoo, a founding member of the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation who also helped launch the Abu Dhabi Festival, an annual celebration of cultural expression which today is under the patronage of HH General Sheikha Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. 

Hoda Ibrahim Al Khamis Kanoo said:
‘Winning this award for L’Officiel’s most inspirational Arab woman makes me feel humble.  I hope this honour encourages all women to have the strength and will to continue on their chosen path’.

The awards were supported by the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and sponsored by L’Officiel magazine partners including House of Amouage, Boulevard at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Emirates NBD, Jahaanara Limited, Guess, Fashionation, Al Aan TV and HP Middle East.
