Kuwaiti Defense Minister, Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah, will visit Paris on Monday for talks with senior French officials on bilateral and regional issues, reported the official Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA.
The agency quoted the minister as saying Friday that the visit is “part of close and regular ties between the two nations.”
He is scheduled to meet with his counterpart, Alain Richard, and other senior ministry officials.
“The visit is in the framework of the close and regular relations we maintain with the state of Kuwait,” said French Foreign Ministry spokesman Francois Rivasseau.
“We welcome this visit to France which is the first by Sheikh Jaber,” the spokesman said.
The two countries signed a defense cooperation agreement in 1992 – Albawaba.com
