Security authorities in Kuwait have arrested 24 Iranians and Afghans who entered the emirate illegally by sea during the weekend, a newspaper reported Saturday. Fifteen Iranians and Afghans were detained at dawn Friday along Kuwait's southern coast of Bnaidar, al-Watan said.
The coastguard rounded up the men who confessed to being dropped off by boat from the Islamic republic of Iran, it said, and added that the men would be sent home.
On Thursday nine Iranians were rounded up in Dubaiya, south of Kuwait City, where they had also been dropped by boat, the daily reported. (Albawaba.com)
