A smoking ban came into effect on all Kuwait Airways flights from April 1, in accordance with a decree issued by the directorate of civil aviation in the Gulf state, reported the Bahrain Tribune newspaper.
The decree stipulates that violators may face penalties ranging from heavy fines to imprisonment or both.
Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) has adopted the measure in conjunction with earlier steps taken to enforce smoke-free flights on KAC’s short-haul flights.
In June last year, KAC began smoke-free flights to and from the USA, said the paper – Albawaba.com
