Jalal Talabani, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said Tuesday that his party was ready to shelter Saddam Hussein's family.
Asked by a journalist about the news that he received a letter requesting shelter for Saddam's family, Talabani said that he knew where the former Iraqi’s family sheltered, but could not disclose this information, the Turkish news agency Anadolu reported. Talabani added, "Saddam Hussein committed many murders, but there are some innocent people in his family, especially his wife and daughter. If they want to take shelter in our region, we shall accept them." (Albawaba.com)
