A monitor said Syrian Kurdish forces have taken over the Daesh-held town of Sarrin in northern Syria, Reuters reported Monday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the People's Protection Units (YPG), with the held of US-led coalition airstrikes, captured the strategic town after a month-long offensive against supply lines for Daesh (ISIS).
Sarrin, near northern Kobani, was a key location for Daesh to continue waging assaults on the Kurdish town near the border of Turkey.
