The kosher supermarket in Paris, Hyper Cacher, reopened two months after it was attacked by a jihadi gunman linked to the Charlie Hebdo shootings, AFP reported.
On the first day of the Jewish grocery store's reopening, the French interior minister bought two bottles of wine to show his support.
"It's very important to be here to show that we don't give up. It's a symbol," Eric Cohen, father of murdered worker Yohan Cohen, told AFP.
The store was attacked by extremist Amedy Coulibaly in January two days after 12 people were shot at the Charlie Hebdo office, a satirist magazine that published cartoons poking fun at the Prophet Muhammed.
The militant violence in France's capital created tension in Europe as countries have cracked down on "extremist" activities. Anti-Muslim protests and attacks targeting mosques have escalated in the past few months compared with last year.
