The award was bestowed by the Councils of Saudi Arabia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at an award ceremony during the Real Estate Investment World Summit which took place October 19-20 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Awardees were selected on the basis of the pre-set criteria such as scale of the project, design, use of materials, use of alternative technologies, sustainability elements, and types of funds offered, customer service, financial knowledge, innovation and adherence with the Shari’ah principles. Out of 164 nominations received worldwide, 35 companies have been selected to compete for the eight Awards: being Best Islamic Real Estate Project, Leading Real Estate Developer, Best Sustainable Project, Leader in Islamic Hospitality, Leading Islamic Financing Institution, Best Islamic Fund Manager, Best Islamic Real Estate Fund, Leading Entrepreneur of the Year.
