Riyadh’s leading luxury hotel is putting the finishing touches on its unique venue for Ramadan celebrations, transforming Saudi Arabia’s most prestigious banquet venue into an imaginative Arabesque environment.

Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel is delighted to announce the triumphant return of their signature Fawaness concept for Iftar and Sohour meals.

After the successful launch of Fawanees last year, Al Faisaliah is preparing to welcome more than 20,000 guests to break the fast during the Holy Month of Ramadan, and visitors can expect nothing less than the most memorable and exclusive celebrations in Riyadh.

The Prince Sultan Grand Hall, the largest column free space in the Kingdom, is the primary site for the Fawanees celebrations.  The Grand Hall’s transformation includes a dazzling array of fountains and traditionally inspired Arabesque architecture with bold, modern accents.

“After great acclaim for the inaugural year of Fawanees, it’s incredibly rewarding to unveil our updated concept for Ramadan celebrations this year,” said Peter Finamore, Managing Director of Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel.

“The Fawanees “experience” is a true feast for the senses.  Creative and luxurious interiors accompany the richly diverse Iftar and Sohour menus, pleasing the palates of our guests.”

“There is truly no better place to enjoy Ramadan celebrations in Riyadh, and the Fawanees “experience” offers Al Faisaliah’s famously flawless personalised service.”

To break the fast, the hotel’s renowned chefs have created a series of decadent Iftar and Sohour menus.  Classic dishes from across the Arab world are prominently featured, including Morocco’s harira soup and tajines, Lebanon’s kebbeh bel laban, and Saudi Arabia’s traditional lamb kabsa.

International cuisine is also well-represented, with Indian chicken biryani, Thai khao pad thalay, and Indonesian oseng kambing.  Live cooking stations offering everything from Vietnamese noodles to fresh Italian pasta are on offer during Iftar, while hot and cold mezzeh, shawarma, and salad bar are available at the Iftar and Sohour buffets.

Iftars in Al Faisaliah’s Prince Sultan Grand Hall will be held daily during Ramadan from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  The Iftar buffet, which includes unlimited soft drinks, water, and Ramadan cocktails, is SAR230 per person.  The Sohour buffet in the hall is SAR195 each for food only, and meals are available from 11:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.  All prices are subject to a 15 per cent service charge.

For large groups wanting to break the fast in a more private setting, Al Faisaliah offers its exclusive Al Omsiat Ballroom Iftars.  Groups of 100 to 250 people can enjoy the diverse Iftar buffet in majestic settings highlighted by custom woven carpets, ornate chandeliers, and polished marble accents for a one-of-a-kind experience.
