In recent times, North Korea's significant surge in military expenditures has raised international concerns.

North Korea Conducts 'Tactical Nuclear Strike Exercise' with Fake Warheads

In a concerning move, North Korea has publicly announced its recent 'tactical nuclear strike exercise.' This announcement comes as the nation claims to have equipped two of its long-range cruise missiles with imitation atomic bomb warheads. The exercise involved launching these missiles from the Korean Peninsula's coast, directing them towards the West Sea. These missiles flew at a specified altitude of 150 meters, covering a distance of 1,500 kilometers.

The state-controlled KCNA news agency has underscored the purpose of this exercise as a warning to potential adversaries, signaling North Korea's readiness for a nuclear conflict. Notably, this exercise is also seen as an effort to bolster military deterrence against South Korea and the United States.

Crucially, this provocative move took place just one day after the conclusion of an 11-day joint military exercise involving the U.S. and South Korea. This joint exercise reportedly included the participation of at least one U.S. B-1B strategic bomber, as reported by South Korean media.
