Iran's President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami left Tehran for Geneva Wednesday morning to take part in the "World Summit of the Information Society" to be held there Dec 10-12.
Heading a high ranking delegation, he will address the summit and confer with a number of heads of states on mutual, regional and international issues, IRNA reported. Before leaving the country, he told reporters in Tehran`s Mehrabad airport that the Geneva summit is the biggest international gathering after the United Nation`s meeting to mark the third millennium.
