Iran's President Mohammad Khatami on Wednesday criticized European countries for lack of commitment to the Brussels agreement. Asked about the Brussels agreement and suspension of certain activities on the condition of closing Iran's nuclear dossier, the president stressed, "there was an agreement and we believe they could do this but they refused. We have complained to Europe in this regard."

Pointing to the possibility of negotiations with the United States on nuclear issues, he added, "talks should bear fruits but the US attitudes and strategies were not correct and were motivated by special aims." "Negotiations will not be fruitful under the current condition. If we feel a fundamental change is being occurred in US policies in regards to Iran, there will be a new situation but we have not felt so."

According to IRNA, Khatami added "Unfortunately, several international organizations are influenced by the pressure imposed by superpowers more than being influenced by wisdom." (albawaba.com)
