Iran should never yield to American pressure over its nuclear program, the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a speech late Monday.
Khamenei said Iran's nuclear program was geared to peaceful goals and Iran's religious principles prevented it from ever resorting to atomic weapons.
In Khamenei's speech, carried by IRNA Tuesday, he was quoted as saying, "The United States is treating the whole world as if nations were indebted to it; showing any sign of weakness, and any tendency to yield to US demands would be the gravest strategic mistake."(Albawaba.com)
