KFH contributes in equipping Abeer 2 Voluntary Center
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has offered a cash donation to one of the special needs homes called Abeer 2 Voluntary Center that was established by 2 Kuwaiti girls called Abeer Al-Gammaz and Abeer Al-Safran.
The donation contributed to constructing a speaking room for special needs individuals, equipped with the most advanced technical methods, in addition to contributing in buying transportation means and the maintenance of the center, plus supporting the activities done by the center for this group.
Acting Human Resources Manager Mohammed Al-Jalal stated that major corporate and banks have to adopt the concept of social responsibility and apply this concept in a way that serves the various sectors of society. He added that this concept stems from the fact that society is an essential part that contributes to the profit of the corporate and its growth. Al-Jalal said that KFH has contributed in offering various kinds of support during its 30 years of work, where they varied from supporting education, health development, special needs individuals, and other fields that contribute in supporting the society as a whole.
Al-Jalal mentioned that one of the most important social projects executed by KFH lately is the Addiction Therapy Hospital, which costs around KD 4.5 million, in addition to building a special suite for treating drug addict prisoners in the Central Prison. Moreover, KFH built 15 ambulance centers with a cost of KD 1.5 million, and continues to support schools, universities, hospitals, medical centers, care centers, offering support and aid to a number of wrecked Islamic countries that suffer from disasters.
He noted that cooperation prevails in Kuwaiti society, and he mentioned the leading role played by charity authorities that reinforce the efforts of the benevolent Kuwaitis, and organizes the donating process, ensuring that these donations reach the ones in need. Al-Jalal stated that KFH has signed an agreement with Bait Al Zakat to execute charity projects, since Bait Al Zakat has high credibility.
