The protests on Tuesday, which led to the parliament building being set ablaze, resulted in the deaths of at least 22 people, according to the state-funded Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNHRC).

ALBAWABA- In response to deadly protests, President William Ruto of Kenya announced he would withdraw the controversial finance bill that included significant tax hikes. 

Addressing the nation, Ruto acknowledged the public's strong opposition, stating, "It is clear that Kenyans want nothing to do with the bill. I concede." He assured that he would not sign the bill into law.

The protests on Tuesday, which led to the parliament building being set ablaze, resulted in the deaths of at least 22 people, according to the state-funded Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNHRC).
