Libyan leader Muammar Kadhafi held talks in Tripoli Saturday with Malian President Alpha Oumar Konare, on bilateral ties, reported the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Konare arrived in Tripoli the same day, heading a high-ranking delegation.
The two leaders reviewed the developments of the situation in Africa in addition to other regional issues and bilateral relations, said SPA.
Mali is a member of the African Union which was declared last March in the Libyan resort of Sirte and which is replacing the Organization of African Unity (OAU).
Mali also ratified on May 30 the protocol for the setting up of a pan-African parliament – Albawaba.com
