The Kadhafi Foundation, a charity headed by the son of Libyan president Moamer Kadhafi, Wednesday slammed the "murder" by US forces of toppled Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's two sons, Uday and Qusay.
"Killing anyone this way is an ugly act that cannot be welcomed in any modern society," said the foundation, headed by Saif al-Islam Kadhafi.
"They could have been surrounded, captured or tried before a competent court."
"The deaths and executions that took place during this operation, without any trial, are a violation of the most basic standards of human rights," the Kadhafi Foundation said, as cited by AFP.
Furthermore, it called on Iraq's transitional Governing Council to "pursue officials of the former regime, capture and try them." (Albawaba.com)
