It is well-known that the Kaaks and Crepes restaurant and coffee shop which is located in (Brothers center on Mecca street), and that serves exquisitely tasty and unique cuisine that combines the old with the new; whether it is sweet or salty it will satisfy all tastes at appropriate prices, seeks to pilot positive national initiatives to promote tourism in Jordan. These days, the restaurant will host the technical team producing the international movie that will be directed in the red rose city of Petra which came in second place in the new seven wonders of the world competition. The city will set the stage for filming "City of the Lost Spirits" movie which will cost $100 million to produce.
Commenting on this visit, George Gerges, manager of the restaurant, said;" The city of Petra is Jordan's tourism and civilization gateway. Awareness of the need to promote Jordanian tourism by seizing international chances is increasing. In light of this noticeable development, our management has taken up the task of communicating strongly to support national effort, and highlight local potential and capabilities which we hope would be able to shoulder part of the burden carried by the public sector as part of our responsibilities towards our community and sustainable development."
It is note worthy that this film, which will be filmed in the Jordanian City of Petra, is written by a Jordanian writer/ director Sandra Kawar will produced by Unizarre International. Ms. Kawar hosted Unizarre International’s CEO/President David Bowles and Unizarre’s head of funding and distribution, Rebecca Tranter to visit the historical location for technical assessment. The film is similar to the Lost Ship movie which was produced in 1981, It will depict the civilization of Petra 3000 years ago.
Moreover, the success of this film will open the horizon for new art productions as it will draw the attention of American producers and directors to come to Jordan and, in turn, increase investments in tourism and increase national income.
