Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa, part of Dubai-based luxury hospitality group Jumeirah, has recently been awarded the ISO9001:2000 Certification by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance for their Quality Management System. Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa is the new Jumeirah hotel to join its sister properties to implement and achieve the standards as required of ISO9001:2000.
Gerald Lawless, CEO of Jumeirah states; “The certification demonstrates our ongoing commitment to ISO as one of the main measures ensuring that our standards are consistently applied throughout the group and any changes to them have to be communicated in a logical and formal way. I would like to sincerely thank our colleagues and management at Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa and the Quality Management Team of Jumeirah for all their efforts in ensuring success of our ISO certification throughout the group.”
The structure of Jumeirah’s Quality Management System is supported at the highest level by the company Vision, which outlines the future direction of the company and the Quality Policy which outlines management commitment in achieving our objectives for quality. Both in turn are supported by Guiding Principles, which are the values that guide Jumeirah colleagues through their daily activities.
Implementing and maintaining ISO9001:2000 Certification is the company’s public declaration to provide a consistent level of quality throughout all areas of its operations.
