ALBAWABA- Chef and founder of World Central Kitchen, José Andrés, spoke out against the tragic targeting of aid workers in Gaza by Israeli forces.

According to Reuters reports, Israeli forces systematically targeted World Central Kitchen employees, resulting in the tragic deaths of seven foreign workers.

Among the victims were individuals from Palestine, Australia, Poland, the UK, and a dual citizens of the US and Canada, all of whom were dedicated to providing food aid to displaced Palestinians.

Despite operating in what was supposed to be a de-escalation zone under Israeli control, aid workers were not spared from the violence.

José Andrés also noted that Israeli forces were aware of the movements of aid workers at the time of the attack, raising concerns about the deliberate targeting of humanitarian efforts.

In response to the attacks, José Andrés criticized the United States for failing to adequately support the Palestinian people and called for greater international action to address the crisis in Gaza.

He affirmed World Central Kitchen's commitment to evaluating the situation and determining when aid efforts can safely resume in Gaza.
