Jordan Investment Trust PLC (Jordinvest), strives to yield economic reform for Jordan through promoting a strong and healthy investment infrastructure both within the Kingdom and the region as the firm participated and advocated their cause at the Jordan National Investment Reform Agenda Workshop to openly discuss venture capital development.
The achievements of Jordinvest were highlighted at the “Growing Business in Jordan” Investment and Trade Forum organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as part of its investment program. Jordinvest's participation came at the Jordan National Investment Reform Agenda Workshop, an event which served as an arena for showcasing business development opportunities in Jordan and the region at large.
In a panel discussion entitled “Venture Capital Funds: Creating an Enabling Environment,” Mr. Tantash spoke in great detail about the possibilities of promoting the venture capital environment in Jordan and how such environments would help small and medium sizes ventures prosper to further enhance the Jordanian economy at large.
Jordinvest, he went on to say, works to ensure the security of capital investments, and to encourage the launch of new investment projects in Jordan. He referred to the investment initiatives Jordan has seen in Aqaba and in Amman as an example of the results to be reaped due to the healthy interaction between public and private sectors. This central piece of knowledge, he stressed, is Jordinvest’s role as a building block forming all the policies it adopts.
With regard to the firm’s policies and its vision, Mr. Tantash added, ”Jordinvest is the symbol of economic reform, and we in the firm use our experiences and our abilities to serve our expanding client base in the best possible way. Chairman/CEO of Jordinvest, Mr. Ahmad Tantash has attended the event’s proceedings along side 500 other specialists in the economics and finance fields, business professionals and representatives of both private and public sectors in the region. The forum was funded by the Italian Government, and was organized in cooperation with the Jordan Investment Board and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It served to both highlight investment policy reforms, and to provide a basis for regional dialogue amongst MENA countries on issues pertaining to economic diversification
