ALBAWABA - Hundreds of Jordanians took to the streets to protest and show solidarity with the Gazans in Palestine as the Israeli forces continued the brutal aggression on the enclave for the fifth day in a row.

Demonstrators were seen waving the Palestinian flag while wearing traditional Palestinian black and white keffiyehs and Jordanian red and white keffiyehs, also known as (Shmagh, شماغ).

The protest took place within the vicinity of Kalouti Mosque in Rabieh, Amman. The protesters carried signs that read "Palestine is Arab and free", "the blood of martyrs will not be wasted", "Jerusalem is ours", and "Jordanians are against normalization".

A protestor, who wished to remain anonymous, told AlBawaba: "As a person of Palestinian origin living far from my homeland, the least I can do is to take a stance against the brutal aggression the Israeli forces have been carrying out for days on the helpless people of Gaza".

Some protestors held signs with a number of phrases and chants such as "In resistance [المقاومة] we trust" and "F*** Human Rights. They close their eyes when it comes to Palestine, they only care about white people".

On Saturday, hundreds of Jordanians gathered near the Israeli embassy in Amman in a display of unity and support for the Palestinian resistance. The Israeli government withdrew the Israeli embassy's staff from Amman amid security threats.

Social media platforms across Jordan buzzed as users shared images, videos, and messages of solidarity with the Palestinian cause, using hashtags #AlAqsaFloodOperation and #GazaUnderAttack.
